Stuffes mark X

I just reread the second set of three Valdemar books. Well, mostly. I did skip most of the flashbacks, but other than that I read them.

I'm currently in the middle of Richard K Morgan's Altered Carbon. Sort of a cyberpunk detective novel. Not bad, but for parts of the plot to work he had to set it too far in the future. Some of the technology is not at all advanced enough. (Biggest danger about writing science fiction more than 20 years in the future, the odds are that in day to day technologies you are going to way underestimate their advancement.)

It has a flying whorehouse called "Head in the Clouds" There is no way in hell I could have pulled that off in my writing.
